What is the Farm Box Program?
The Farm Box Program is a subscription for a once weekly box featuring seasonal produce from local growers. The San Juan College Harvest Food Hub runs the Farm Box Program each summer from June through September.
The subscription is open to all community members. Each week subscribers will receive one curated Farm Box that will be filled with a variety of items from local farmers.
What comes in the Farm Box?
The products that you receive are grown by local farmers that work with the Harvest Food Hub.
The items that come in the Farm Box are different each week, depending on seasonality and farmer availability. Each box also includes a list of the week's products, the farms they come from, recipe ideas, and any program updates.
Farm Boxes typically contain 6-8 seasonal items.
- Example 1: Spring mix, carrots, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, cucumber, turnips, and winter squash
- Example 2: Apples, mushrooms, sweet pepper, cucumber, basil, romaine lettuce, cantaloupe, and summer squash

How do I sign up for the Farm Box?
Below, you can subscribe to the Farm Box. You can sign up for the Full Season Farm Box (weekly or biweekly), or individual months (July, August, or September). We offer a separate subscription only for San Juan College students and faculty members at a discounted price.
You may place a hold on any week if you know you will be out of town, but please let us know a week in advance by emailing harvest@sanjuancollege.edu.
How much does it cost?
We offer several payment options and can accept cash or credit cards.
The cost of the Full Season Farm Box is $25 each week. Payment options include:
- Pay weekly, at the time of pick up. This option still requires a subscription.
- Pay in full. This option receives a discount.
Weekly Box (16 Week Box) receives a $25 discount
Bi-Weekly Box (8 Week Box) receives a $10 discount
- Pay with a payment plan.
Weekly Box (16 Week Box) is four payments of $100
Bi-Weekly Box (8 Week Box) is two payments of $100
The cost of the Student/Faculty Farm Box is $10 each week. Payment is due once weekly or at time of pick up.
How do I receive my Farm Box?
Farm Boxes are picked up by you on Thursdays after 4pm. We have several pick-up locations across San Juan County.
Please bring your own bag to the pick-up site (or you can purchase a reusable insulated bag from us).
